In celebration of the Queen’s birthday, the Queen’s tournament is held every first week of June. Inaugurated by Her Majesty in 1988, the Queen’s Tournament is one of the prestigious golf competitions in the world held solely here in the Blackwood Golf Centre. This includes our longest drive competition as well as our best irons player championship. Golf enthusiasts are welcome to join the competition by registering to this website or signing up personally at the club on or before July 25th.
The tournament has two categories: Amateur and Professional. The grand winner of the Amateur category will receive £ 50,000 along with a five-year membership on the golf club. Meanwhile, the grand winner of the professional category will receive £ 70,000 with a five-year club membership. Consolation prizes range from £10,000 to £ 30,000 and 1 to 3 years of membership in the club.
